It's like the Z2 Force and Z3 Play had a child. Very disappointing, but for the right price (Black Friday) it could be enticing. It's actually not a bad price right now, but not interesting enough.

I purchased mine through Motorola directly. They have a "back to school" promotion and I was able to snag 25% off. Got the bad boy for $360 plus tax. Ordered a Moto Battery Mod too and got 25% off that as well. Couldn't pass up that deal. The pricing alone made the less than ideal specs a little more palpable. Lol.

So far so good. Still getting used to Android after a few years away, but corrects the one issue I had with the z2 force (which resulted in me returning it after a few days). The plastic screen interacted poorly with my sunglasses which are polarized. This is fine. Still deciding if I am keeping it, exchanging for the Note 9 (need more battery life) or returning and waiting for the big iPhone X next month.

I did the student discount also and also signed up for coupon cabin and should get a $20 Amazon gift card though them. Plus I don't have to pay Verizon $30 for an upgrade fee. So I'll consider I got it for $310 plus tax plus I did get an additional year's warranty for $30.

Verizon extended the $300 off promotion to existing customers if they add a line and also trade-in a phone on their list. It looks like the cheapest phone to buy if you don't want to turn in a better one would be a Samsung S4, going for around 65-75 bucks on Swappa.
