Why no gingerbread?

Because there isn't even a release of it yet. There was a video a few days ago from a review site in Israel which explained that when it launches it will have GB, but that for now it's got Froyo since that's the latest one available.

Really, though, do you think there would be a 3rd party build of GB before the source code is even released?

Anyone know the specs on the screen size? Looks 4.3 and if this comes to at&t like the rumors say, ill be getting it. Hate motoblur but thats what ADW & Launcher Pro are for.

A very nice looking device. I love it that the car dock feature is showing up like on the DX. Hopefully it launches with all the necessary accessories. I hope this comes out this month on AT&T...because I have grown tired of waiting for VZW to release the DINC HD.

Does anyone know if there will be another similar device coming to at&t as well? I love the look of this phone.. But I can't stand the fact that it has blur.. Even though I've never had an Android device before, I think Motoblur looks hideous.. Hah. I'd much rather have the same UI the Captivate does :/

New here to the android life and wondering if a root would be able to not have the motoblur or if that would be "built in" to any UI. I've heard of launchers and different ROMS, but without an android of my own, cant really experiment...

It has to be rooted then someone will have to build a custom rom to fully get rid of blur. Yes you can install third party launchers but that only hides blur. And from my experience blur isn't worth it. Its a battery drain and ugly. Oh yeah it sucks up so many resources its not funny. Blur is a Motorola skin added to android same as sense. But sense seems well thought out and implemented blur well that's a different story
