Motorola widgets

Just wondering how the motorola widgets updates work? I kind of like them but if they are a battery drain constantly updating I might not like then as much. Thus is mainly regarding social networking widget and news

I use the social widget and don't think its a drain on my batt at all. It does sync all the tine and I have not found any setting to change that for that particular widget. I think it helps if you go into battery manager and select the the first option to help your battery.

Not sewing battery drain just wondered if they were, so far the coolness of the widget over stock facebook app is making me stick with it, don't like having all my facebook contacts in my phone though wish it would just sync with the ones already in my contacts like on my og droid
