When I connect my Note 2 via USB to my computer it only connects as a media device.

So my question is how can I mount the SD card as a mass storage device and move files back and forth?

In my office wifi is not an option as all mobile devices are connected to a different wifi network than computers.

Thanks,

- Bob

If you have your external SD card in your phone and its working now, you should be able to access it through android file transfer. Make sure you open the extcard directory.

When I looked up Android File Transfer that is a Mac application I am using Windows 8 on a MS Surface Pro.

Did you try going into my computer or Explorer and accessing your phone's card that way? Sorry I'm not familiar with Windows 8 on surface Pro.

Yep, it wasn't showing up until I changed the settings on my Note 2, now it's working as expected.

Thanks for your help!
