On my Galaxy S5 was sent a .mov video file and I found that I could not read it. So I googed for an app, and found a web site that offered 50 apps for that purpose. Which one should I use?
I might also like to create .mov files.

Thanks for your help,
Mike.

Thanks, I downloaded VLC, and now I can view the video. But the .mov file does not
appear in my Gallery. Is there a way I can make that happen?

Mike.

Unfortunately, nope, because it's not a system-supported file type. It might appear if you use a 3rd party Gallery app that specifically lets you add different file types, but I'm not sure if such a thing exists (I've never used Gallery apps).

Perhaps I am dreaming, but I imagined that there would be a Gallery folder that I could copy something into.

Mike.

Nope, the Gallery app automatically populates with folders that contain media files in them. If you create a folder and place a bunch of pictures in there, it should automatically appear in the Gallery.
