Moved from iOS, need photos help!

Hi,
Just moved to Android/Google Photo's from iOS/iCloud and am having a bit of trouble with photos backing up! My device is a Samsung Note 9.

Basically, I'm looking for a way to backup photos and preserve the Albums that I have created!

Google photos backs up all the photos and albums that my device creates itself (WhatsApp images for example), but I just can't figure out how to get it to backup/sync Albums I have created myself?! I've added a pic from my Note 9 to show what I mean lol

With iOS and iCloud, any albums or changes I made to photos would be mirrored in the online backup, instantly! I'm looking for that same functionality with my new Note 9

Chessington 2018, as an example, is probably in /DCIM/Camera/Chessington 18. You should be able to find it there with My Files. If it's somewhere else, move the folder to be somewhere in /DCIM/Camera.
