Movie formats

Hey all,

Wana prep for a 3hr flight on saterday, by putting a couple of movies on the s3. Is there any particular video formats that the s3 prefers? Also is there a better video player or is the stock one just fine?

I've been ripping my favorite DVDs with handbrake and putting them on my phone. Plain old m4v files play just fine on the stock video player.

A lot of people like VLC (download here) and Mobo (download here). I haven't used either, but both come very highly recommended by others.

I just gave MI4 a try using MX Player. This thing has some premo playback. Looks like Kies auto converts it to an acceptable format. Transfer was about 30 seconds for a 1gb movie.

yep, thats a cool feature of the GS3, whatever you throw at it gets converted to a playable format. if it cannot convert it, it also lets you know

I use MX Player has handled everything I have thrown at it so far

Mx Is better it supports more formats then any other player I have seen
