Movie Thumbnails

I have some movies that are on my computer and I moved them to my GN 10.1. When I go into the Play Movies app there are no thumbnails for the movies. This is a small problem as I want my 3 and 5 yo kids to be able to choose movies without me having to set up. Is there a way to show thumbnails? It seems as though it should be easy but I can't figure it out.

Try Video Player instead of Play Movies. Play Movies is for those downloaded from Google Play.

No, that's not true. Google Play Movies will list everything you have in the Personal Videos tab, no matter where they come from. Those great animated thumbnails are only in the Video Player, however.
