Can anyone tell me why I cant any apps to the sd card>? I have games like Dark Knight Rise that takes over 2gbs of storage and I cant move it to the SD Card.

I dont think it is necessary with this phone is storage seems to be allocated in 1 large partition. App2sd said I had 24 gb available for apps on the phone.

It seems to becoming the standard to only be able to store media on external storage.

If rooted you could try gl to sd card. Worked on my epic touch.

App 2 SD told me the same thing but i was still unable to move the apps over to the SD card. Im guessing you cant do that anymore. So it leaves you with just a limited amount of storage for apps which kinda sucks but hey it still beats using IOS

20+ gigabytes of storage should be more than enough for your apps. There is no need to move apps to the SD card (which doesn't exist anyway) on this phone.

There isn't a difference between SD and internal storage on this phone. It is all basically internal, when you go to storage settings it only shows internal. You have the entire storage space for what ever you need.

No, no it isnt. I'm already over my limit two days after purchasing the phone. I needs me some more space :(

Hey guys...I have a new LG L75C Smartphone and need to know how to move (or download) apps to the SD card. I have read all the posts, most talk about other phones, some talk about "rooting" the phone, some talk about hooking up the phone to the computer and typing in lots of commands, some talk about an app "move2SD", etc...and a LOT of the statesments say these things do not work on their phone.

Can someone please reply to me and let me know the simplest, best, and most workable way to help move or download apps to the SD card instead of the internal memory? Thank you!!!!

On the OG, the SDCARD is simulated using the space on the /data partition. Since the /data partition is where applications are stored, it really makes no sense to try to move applications. This is the scheme that newer Android systems like Nexus are using.

If you use an application like "Terminal Emulator", using the 'df' command will show you that /data and /mnt/sdcard both have around 25 GB of storage.

I have the LG L75C (called the Optimus Zip). My internal storage info says I have used 106 MB and that only is only 69.68 MB is free. (and SD Card is 3.63 GB free). This is a brand new phone. I downloaded a Salitaire app, a Barcode app, ebay , a Weather app and a bank app . A message from a friend was posted and phone told me memory was too low for messages. I went in and deleted Facebook, deleted all my message (only about 5 very short ones) and moved ebay, Barcode scanner and solitire to SD Card...but it will not allow me to move any more apps. If I download another app, I fear that it will go to internal memory and will not allow me to message or anything due to low internal storage.

really need to fix this. Any ideas?!?!?!

Your phone is very different than the Optimius G which we are talking about on this forum. From what I read, your phone most closely resembles the LG Enlighten. You might try there.

APP2SD is the application I used for managing applications on both internal and external storage before I bought the LGOG. You should give it a try.

i dont think that will work either. but if you are rooted and if some one can figure out the right paths you can try an app called directory bind. i think it is on xda somewhere but not on the playstore. i used it on my atrix hd and my note 2 successfuly before so don't let the fact that it is on the galaxy device forum put you off.

Since ICS you can no longer put apps on the SD card. I know there were some directory binding solutions that work on the S3, GN2, and possibly the S4 not sure if they will or won't work here. Worth a try, check over at XDA-Developers that is where you would find those conversations.

Thank u so much...idk how all these people have all these giga-amounts of internal storage on their LG Spirit....but i for one DEF needed MORE room...so i rooted the phone then saw your suggestion of dl GL to SD from google play... works like a friggin charm...now i can dl Movies galore to my phone then stream to tv thru the amazing imediaShare app....and NOT have to worry about uninstalling then reinstalling....uuugh. Oh and the reason i think this No move to external is becoming the norm is obvious...they want you to by the highest priced device with the most storage...pretty messed up..like when you ARE trying to move an app to SD for the 1st time, its like the manf. is saying "ha ha u big poor dummy, shoulda bought a tab/phone wit more space!" Anyways...tip top shape now with the Spirit LG ..(.that is until i buy that sweet new Galaxy Note Tablet/Phone :-$ )......xx

Hi,
I found an easy way to move certain apps from the phone storage to external SD. My phone came with a "File Manager" app. I tried this and was thrilled that it worked.
Open the File Manager app
Should show you two folders: external_SD (or whatever you've named your SD card) and SDcard0 (this is the phone storage)
Click and open SDcard0 folder and select the app folder you want to move by long pressing on the folder (without opening it). Long pressing will bring up options - select "move". It will automatically take you back to the main folders. There, select your "external_SD" folder and the bottom will display the options "cancel" and "paste". Select "Paste". If it asks you if you want to overwrite existing, check the "Apply to all files" box and click "Overwrite".
The file will transfer and in almost all cases, the app is perfect; you'd never know you moved it.
Please note: I moved my Evernote app and it reset to default - none of my notes were displaying. So, I simply moved it back using the instructions above taking it out of the external_SD and moving it back to the phone. Worked perfectly.
The other thing is that for some reason the "Waze" app won't move. No explanation.
Good luck!
