Moving apps to SD card

If I download an app on the Play store (let's say Facebook) and I move it to the SD card...will the phone move the app back to the internal storage the next time I update the app? Or will it remain on the SD card?

I have a galaxy S5 and I've moved a lot of my apps to the SD card to save space on the phone...but every time I download an app update, the app moves back to the internal memory, which drives me crazy

I haven't heard of this problem on the s7.

I've noticed that apps that I move to the SD card still show under internal storage with their full size too

What's showing on internal storage is a symlink to a piece of the app - which shows the full size of the software it's linking to. You'd have to be in Linux (and rooted) to see whether what you see is a symlink of almost no size or the actual software being linked to.
