Moving from DInc To Rezound...Any tips?

My upgrade is coming up within the next month (going to sweet-talk and try to get it bumped up if I can), and I'm about 95% sure I'm going with the Rezound (the Razr MAXX is appealing, but not a fan of Moto phones). Before I move, just wondering if anyone has any tips, generally speaking?

My music is good-to-go on Google Music, I will save my ringtones on my computer before I kill the DInc (though I use Ringdroid, so I can just make new ones), and I'll make sure all my contact info is backed up on Google. Also already know which screen protector I'll get (Clarivue...had one on my DInc since day one and it's lasted almost two years with just some barely-there fine scratches).

Any other tips to prepare for the switch? Tips on a good case, maybe?

Once you get your Rezound home, you'll soon forget that Verizon even offers other phones. Well, at least, till the quads arrive & cause mass drooling on our hi-res displays. Seriously, there won't be any concerns, obstacles.to overcome, coming from the Dinc. Acclimating yourself w/ the Rezound will not even cause a hiccup, it's still got GB. If you want a stylish, rugged case, check out the Otterbox and Seido lines. They are the cream of the crop, imo.

Came from Dinc to rezound, have had no issues. Fast as rip. Love the display, the volume and power buttons leaveuch to be desired as they are inset so much, but ways around that too. Doing things on the rezound that I wanted to do on the Dinc. Just need a bigger battery to keep up with my heavy use and 4g in my area.

I also had an Incredible and upgraded to the Rezound. You'll love it. The Rezound is a top notch phone.

You won't regret a thing.

If you rooted your Inc and you plan on rooting your Rezound you can actually copy your Titanium backup apps to your computer then drag them to the Titanium folder on the Rezound (after you download the app of coarse) and the apps and data transfer.

That was a BIG relief to me...got to keep all my Angry Birds and a couple other apps I really don't want to have to start from scratch on.

Verizon let me upgrade from my dinc 3 months early and I'm very satisfied. There are some extras I don't remember seeing on reviews such as screenshots,DLNA,and voice and data at the same time.Only complaint so far are the power and vol buttons.Overall nice upgrade over dinc which was a great phone.

Copy your flashlight apk so you'll have a flashlight on the Rezound. I did and it works fine. Just trying to find a display setting that doesn't kill the battery other than that the Rezound is terrific.

I'm not rooted, and don't plan to do so on the Rezound either.

As for the flashlight, is the app not included on the Rezound for a reason? I find it odd that it didn't get on the DInc until GB, and the Rezound has GB but no flashlight app. What gives with that? Is the thought that HTC will release it with an OTA at some point?

The DINC had the flashlight on Froyo. I used Astro file manager to copy the flashlight off the DINC and put it on the Rezound. I think HTC overlooked the app. The Motorola flashlight works too but it will timeout and turn off.

I recall the dinc not having a flashlight before froyo but the kicker was none of the flashlights on the market would work without root. Not the case with this phone though.I installed tiny flashlight and it works from the lockscreen with a shake.

Well on the case, I've got the otterbox defender and it does come with screen protection although you already have that covered. But the case does have raised buttons for pwr and volume that really make it easier to use them. They are recessed right down to the edge without a case but after getting the otterbox case, that made me glad I got protection and ease of use for those buttons.
As others have mentioned, it is a great phone.

Plan on buying the extended battery. 4G kills the battery in this phone.

Someone, in one of these threads, had a Dropbox link to a "signed" HTC flashlight apk for the Rezound. Hard to search for using Tapatalk. If no one links to it, I'll re-seed the file later.
