I'm not moving on.. The N5 is still one of the best phones available for the price. I've had the N5 since it was released and it was starting to show some wear and tear. Last week when they were back in stock at Google Play, I bought another to replace my weary one! :)

I have had my N5 for 16 months now and plan on keeping for at least another year. Depends on what come out in Nov 2015.

Believe it or not I just had the note 4 yesterday gave it to my fiance because she loves using her camera and the Nexus 5s camera wasn't as food now I have her Nexus 5 to hold me off because I'm leaving android to blackberry unless the m9 catches me off guard

Ive had my Nexus 5 since September 2014 and im already looking at which phone ill want to upgrade to come my contract term ending November 2015. I love the Nexus 5, no real complaints and since Lollipop is running great now after 2 dreadful months i see no reason to run out right now....i also came into some extra funds but im looking at a smart watch. The thing im contemplating right now is if i want to stay android, or jump ship in November with a iPhone 6S. I have played with a few iPhone 6's and while its nice, from a software standpoint (OS) other than a few apps being better on iOS i dont see why i'd jump ship....my biggest concern is Android stability. So do i get a Moto 360? If i do, ill stick with Android and see which Nexus 2015 or Moto X3 are like....i really dont see the big difference between iOS and Android these days.

After having some hands on with my wife's Moto X 2014, I am going to just wait till later in the year. It is a lateral move just better hardware. In hoping T-Mobile gets the g flex 2.

Ambient mode and off screen OK Google support are big features i wish the Nexus 5 had...and id easily sell my Nexus 5 for a Moto X 2014...but im gonna wait for Moto X 2015.

An update to Google search added off screen OK Google support. It only works for me when it wants, I guess cause it's not fully supported. It worked for me right after I set it up but now it's mostly unresponsive. The notifications/time display when you reach for the Moto X is too aggressive, and anything moving near the sensors is constantly turning on the screen. We actually had to turn off this feature cause the display was constantly turning itself on. It doesn't kill battery just really annoying. I'm looking for a bigger screen, much better camera, and SD support. I'll do without the SD if the phone is worth it.

Hmmm, thanks for the added feedback. Off Screen OK Google never worked for it...it works from the lockscreen but thats about it (screen needs to be turned on). I still like the ambient mode, coming from Windows Phone the one feature i do miss is Glance which is similar. I really miss pulling my phone out of my pocket, quick scan without turning on and putting away. However now with Moto 360, its irrelevant to me.

I'm in the same boat and waiting to move on from my Nexus 5. I'm waiting to see what MWC brings. I'm hoping some of the phones that get announced will be available soon after they are announced. The HTC M9 is the one I'm currently most interested in, but that is all just based rumors. I've been waiting for the Z4 announcement, but with word that it won't be released until much later I've slightly given up hope on that.

I can't keep my Nexus 5 much longer. Since the update to lollipop, my battery life has gone to crap and the lag of simple tasks, such as just getting back to my home screen, are annoying me too much.

Clearing app cache fixed those problems for me.

It seems to be hit and miss for the most part. I have done that, I have installed from scratch, etc. and still no dice. I'll just get whatever works best for me that gets announced at MWC and is being released in a reasonable amount of time after that.

I'm going to hope my Nexus 5 hangs on quite a bit longer. I almost wish I'd gotten a new one while they were still in stock. My battery is not in the greatest shape any longer which has me sort of worried. But standby is still OK if I don't use the phone much when I'm out.

If that battery is more than a year old you may need to replace it. You can find them at Amazon. There are how to videos on Youtube.

that's what i'm actually doing. i was going to get the Nexus 6 but it was so difficult to order i just nixed it and at this point will just keep my Nexus 5 for another 9 months or so until the next Nexus comes out. might as well wait as this point - i have Lollipop and my carrier of choice - AT&T GoPhone in place. i also think that a 2 year cycle is a good upgrade strategy to stay current but not pissss away money unnecessarily.

+1

I am still very happy with the Nexus 5 (on T-Mobile and bought from Google) in all aspects except maybe the low battery life. I like having a Nexus, and the Nexus 6 is way too big (and also expensive). I am hoping there will be a Nexus 5.2 near the end of the year (although I am not holding my breath).
