Moving photo albums to computer

What is the simplest way to get.my albums transfered.to my computer? Google has all the pics backed up but not the sorted albums.

Google Photos, left side of the screen, Albums.

If you want to copy them to the computer, plug the phone into the computer, go to DCIM (on the phone) and drag each folder to some folder on the computer that you want to keep them in.

(How those two answers got cross-connected is beyond me.)

It depends on how you set up albums on your phone. Are all of the photos saved locally to the phone, and you created separate directories on the phone's storage to act as separate albums? Or did you create virtual albums using whichever gallery app you're using (which may not have created separate directories for each album -- the app just remembers how you wanted to organize the photos within that app)?

To be fair not sure. How do I tell? I can tell it's on the phone not Google as I told it to back up folders and only got photos.
