Mr Samsung S9 will not allow me to pick up an incoming call

[Android Central Question]

When an incoming call starts to ring, one of two things happen:

1. The ringing continues but whatever the screen is, nothing changes, no pick up buttons become visible, no indication there is an incoming call except the ringing and no method to answer the call.

2nd scenario is when the ringing starts a drop down notification becomes visible and an "answer call" button is displayed. When the "answer call" is selected, the call immediately disconnects.

If you have any carrier-specific apps installed, like My Verizon or T-Mobile's Name ID, try uninstalling them.
