Msg and Missed call notifications problem

Hello. When I receive SMS, the notification is not displayed in the notification bar. No notification is shown for a missed call too. But for other applications such as WhatsApp, a notification is displayed. I checked the notfications setting and notifications are enabled for both apps. please guide me how to fix it.

Try restarting your device. If that doesn't work, Can you uninstal the app and reinstall? If nothing works, back up your Data and do a factory reset..

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have, and which messaging app is it? Google Messages, Samsung Messages, or something else?

Do you have any smart wearables connected to the phone, like a smartwatch or fitness tracker? Those may have an option to turn off notifications on the phone if you have them on for the watch.

You can also try booting into Safe Mode to see if the problem persists. If it doesn't in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the issue.
