mtp not opening as mass storage galaxy s6

hi i wonder if anyone can help me.my phone wont open as mass storage on my pc just charges same wen i plug it into my car system.i have usb debugging on and mpt ticked in options on the phone.my friend has same fone and is worked so i know its definatly the fone not cable .any help appreciated

Welcome to Android Central! When you connect the phone via USB and then swipe the notification panel down, does a USB notification appear? Have you already tried a different cable as well?
