I was holding off because of the regular price which 80 dollars on the Muegen site. I'm glad I did because it's now 47.99 on Amazon.
It has NFC built into the replacement back. Only drawback is it doesn't offer anything in the way of protection.

6/15 update:
Price is back up to 80 dollars

The Mugen extended battery is just way too large for my liking. I just bought the Hyperion 6400mAh extended battery and it is much slimmer than this and the ZeroLemon one. But that's just my preference. Just using for first time today do I can't speak to actual battery performance yet.

I have something similar to the Hyperion but it uses a TPU cover so no hump

Ok so far its pretty good though. I want to give a couple charge recycles before I start measuring the difference. But at 30% brightness I've got 4 hours SOT with 64% left. That's a good start.

Here's what I have that's similar to Hyperion
Only a half inch thick. About the same thickness as the average case.

I don't like his thin the TPU is at the hole for the charging port. It will probably break eventually but still function.

Ok. I like the Hyperion one because it has a regular battery door with soft touch materials which makes it very comfortable to hold. And its still slim.

The TPU is soft and grippy... The only drawback to the plastic ones are the door anchor points are plastic. I broke one from a lite drop but it was the middle one and it still works

At $50, I think I'll buy the Mugen.

It's a great deal and fits better in hand with NFC.... Just no protection. If they decide to make a cover over the existing back it would be too big. Best bet would be to make the back as a TPU case with rounded edges and add NFC.

By the way... You do know that hyperion makes a cover to fit the extended back which offers some protection.

I didn't know that but the one that comes with the battery is just fine enough. I don't want any added bulk. I'm not a case guy so its fine.

So if I wanted to use this battery, I'd have to forfeit my case?

The Mugen battery uses a different back which makes the phone considerably thicker since battery is almost tripple the size. There is no case that would fit it. It would have to be custom made and would make the phone even thicker.
Some of the other extended batteries use a TPU style case to protect the phone.
Hyperion makes a smaller battery that is about double the size of OEM. They also offer a protective case for it.

Yeah, I'm the guy.

I'm thinking of ordering the silver and asking if they will sell a black back separately to switch off. I did that with one of Hyperion clones that included both covers and my silver phone looked good with black case

Hi

DOes this battery support fast charging or quick charge and is there any case available as yet?
