Multi Window Popping Up Issue

So every once in a while when I am on my phone (Galaxy S7) the multi-window feature will pop up (usually in an app that isnt available) and say "Split-Screen Mode Not Available" or something like that without me even hitting the button... Is there any reason this happens? Any way to turn it off...

It happens to me occasionally in the s7 edge. Look in the s7 edge faq sticky for details on how to turn it off.

You cant turn it off... idk why i feel its a hardware issue with the button... a lot of people seem to be experiencing this...i may exchange it while i can...

I have the same issue. It seems to be the way you hold the phone. If you keep your left thumb at the bottom on the phone by the button it sometimes thinks you are pressing it. I just put a new case on the phone and it seems to stop it from happening.
