Multi-window / Split Screen on Android 9

Does the multi window/split screen work on note 9/android pie? Can't seem to find what the instructions that i've searched for are saying.

I'm also running on Android Pie and tried to do it following some steps on the internet..But I didn't at least get the option Split screen. It's great if someone could tell the exact way

Recents is the fastest and easiest way, if you have had both the apps you want on the split screen. So run one, tap Home, run the other, go to recents, press the icon at the top of one and select split screen, then find the other one at the bottom and tap it.
