Multiple Gmail Account - security

Is it possible to have 2 Gmail accounts on the Nexus 7 but not have them be visible by anyone that picks up the device ?

In other words, my wife has the family gmail account set up on the device, but I want to be able to use it to see my personal gmail, but have it secured with a password.

Try setting up an account using the generic e-mail app (supplied with the N7) instead of the gmail specific app.

I had to do that to set up my mediacom e-mail account.
You have to know the incoming and outgoing e-mail server names and port numbers.
You can get this info from the net.

Here is one way but is a lot more to it than simply checking gmail seperately.
I haven't used it but seen it recommended in forum
