Multiple Gmail Accounts

I've searched and read multiple threads on this, but this is sort of an opinionated question...

Now, I have the Gmail that I sign up to all forums/social sites/paypal/etc. with and it would be the one I use most. That one gets a ton of e-mails(non spam), such as updates to threads I'm subscribed to.

A while ago though I made a Gmail account for personal e-mails to friends and such... doesn't get as many e-mails and is a more professional name in case I need it for business.

So my question is... if I understand this right, I will have to link my X to a Gmail account as the main... right? Are there any advantages/disadvantages to picking one over the other as the main?

I know I can setup multiple e-mails, but idk which to "tie" to the phone.

I'd recommend using whatever you consider to be your primary account.

I have this same issue, because I have a personal gmail account and then a professional Google Apps account. I'll have the phone synced up with my personal gmail account, then add my Google Apps email as an additional email account, but I'm not sure how to sync up to both google calendars. I know I can share calendars between the accounts, but I think I will only be able to see the shared calendars of my personal gmail account, and not the shared calendars of my google apps account.

about the calendars i use 2 gmail accounts and i am able to see both calendars and you are able to choose to sync or not with froyo

Yeah, but is this because you are syncing the calendars, or because you are sharing the two calendars? Can you see the shared calendars of both accounts? In other words, if you have a third party calendar that you are sharing only with your non-primary account, can you see that on your phone?

I have both a personal gmail and apps account.
I forward my personal gmail to the apps account.
I then only synch the apps account to my phone.
