Multiple issues... Root/Lollipop Update...

I used the pingpongroot app to root my s6 Edge. Verizon phone.
1. It didnt seem to give me full access, as Cleanmaster app has tried to disable the autostart feature, but even though SU granted access, I got an error message that it failed to gain root access.
I'm not sure if that's just Cleanmaster or not, because I was able to delete pre-installed apps.

2. I have a lollipop update that has failed to install for days. It brings me to the recovery screen, where my only option is to reboot. Then I get the error message that the update failed.

I tried to do a factory reset, but it didn't work.

I may need to get a new phone because now I am unable to send text messages. I can receive them but not send them. Which brings me to my 3rd problem.

3. I tried to do the factory reset in order to put all the original apps back on the phone.
That didn't happen. Also, the S6 Edge screen has an open padlock icon with "CUSTOM" underneath it - this happened when I installed SU.
Is there any way to get the phone back to factory condition as to not alert Verizon that my phone was rooted and void my warranty?

If you have smart switch installed on your computer, just plug your phone in and take the update that way. It will unroot you're phone in the process and you'll still have all your data and all that. No custom splash screen or anything related to root. You will be fully stock (unrooted) on the latest firmware after it's done. This worked for me on Verizon, I see no reason it wouldn't work for you. Good luck.

Smart Switch on my PC? Is that similar to Odin?

I have read from quite a few people that Verizon S6/S6 edge devices are not good. One of them have switched from Verizon to T-Mobile and s/he said that the difference is huge and that battery and performance is a lot better.

No, it's a Samsung application that allows you to back up your phone and restore it easily when you switch phones or factory reset and so on. It also allows you to update the firmware if there's an update available. Download it from the Samsung site and download it into your phone, not sure if it's a must on your phone as well but I've always had it on both so I'm not sure how it would be if you didn't have it installed on your phone as well. Once installed, plug your phone into the computer and it'll start in charging mode, switch that to file transfer mode (mtp) by clicking the notification that says charging and then clicking mtp then it'll be recognized in smart switch, then it might even prompt you that there's an update, it did with me... I would back up anyway just in case, but taking the update this way allowed me to keep everything set up exactly the way I had it with no lost data. The update takes a while, so you're aware in case you think it froze or something. I always recommend doing a factory reset after taking such an update, for performance reasons, so you may be inclined to do that. Any other questions or issues, you know where to ask. Good luck!

My edge on Verizon has always been fantastic, even before I rooted and ran extreme syndicate, so that's a bunch of bull. This has been covered to death on these forums so it'd be appreciated if you refrain from spreading fud such as this.

Now I'll probably wait until a newer root function becomes available. Not a lot of luck with SuperSU.

Ping pong root works just fine after you take the update. It installs supersu for you... What's the issue you're having?

Mainly I wasn't able to uninstall it. Also no full access to CM autostart manager. You said it was junk..
Any suggestions for a replacement?

OK, new issue with same software. I had success with supersu but when I took it off to check for updates, I cannot get it to reinstall. Cannot get a binary installed. I dont know why or what to do. XDA forum has not been of any help. Should I factory reset and start over? I have tried several versions of pingpong root... beta included. No dice. Posting a new.thread
