Multiple ringtones and/or alarms for different applitcations

I need to set up distinct ringtones and/or alarms on my phone such as 1 for text, 1 for e-mails and 1 really loud and persistent one for appointments. My old blackberry was really good at "alarming me" whenever it was time for an appointment. This droid sends the stock notification once and I always think it is just another junk e-mail coming in. Any advice? Thank-you.

It can do alot more than just control your LED including what you've asked for.
