I am using the Browser and is streaming music from a web site. I would like to run another app, but keep on playing the music. The minute I use the multitask icon the music would stop.

you are going to have to use an apps if you want to keep playing/streaming music from a website. Pandora, slacker, tunein radio, etc. will allow you to do just that. The browser is meant to do that to cut down on resources

Amazon cloud player works for that to, I've had the net open, music playing and typing at the same time. I just switch between net and quickoffice. But if your using the native player it will shut off the music.

Yeah the problem. Is for some reasi. The nati e player doesn't allow this. Same thing for podcast streaming. If you use doubletwist it should work. Not sure if it is optimozed for tablets yet. I hope Google fixes this though because there is no reason the native music player shouldn't be able to do this.

What I was trying to do is listen to music on web site and read a ebook. If the build in browser does not support this then oh well. Thank you all for your inputs.

You can use Pandora for background music. Also, the OEM "Music" player will work as well.

I don't think it has been officially optimized because the icons look a little pixelated but it works excellently non the less.
