Music app glitching and skipping songs

[Android Central Question]

I use the default music player on andriod. I have an lg thinq 7 ( or something like that ) and every once in a while ( constantly ) my music player will skip a song in the middle of it playing. This only ever happens when the screen is off. My headphones dont have a skip option and can only pause my music. I tried clicking buttons at random and nothing skipped the song other then directly hitting skip in app. Any idea whats causing this? Also, I tried setting my phone down and holding still while my music was playing with my screen off and nothing happened. So this must be something from me moving, but what???? Any tips will be tested out.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this only happen when headphone are plugged in? Even if the headphones don't have a skip button, a slightly incompatible plug could cause false signals that the phone thinks are skip commands.
