Previously i've always transferred my music files from OneDrive over to my phone. Only til recently i realized the same latest music files that i transferred over keep getting automatic deleted. No matter how many times i tried putting back the same music files after awhile it'll get deleted again. is there some sort of bug? Solutions needed! Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! What directory on the phone are you copying the files to? If it's the /Download directory, then they might be getting deleted on a regular schedule due to some kind of "smart cleaner" app or function on the phone. Check your Device Care app to see if anything is regularly clearing out "unwanted" files: www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00078985/. Or if you have a 3rd party "phone cleaner" app (you shouldn't if you do -- uninstall it now, because they're useless!), check those settings.

It's being copy to internal storage/music folder and not downloaded folder.

I have an app called Avast mobile security does that considered as third party phone cleaner app? If so removing it will solve thr problem?

Thanks.

Been Monitoring for days, and the same situation pops up. still wish to identify the issue.

Check thru trash can in my files, couldn't find it. i know its deleted, cause thru the music players it always shows the music files and no. of it being drawn to. Or the column will have the newest added, it always disappear from there, and then i'll head over to the my files to search for the folder where i stored my music from is not there anymore.

How did you resolve this issue please share your findings/solutions.

Thanks for your help and response.

Not at all.
I only used Samsung's internal optimizer to clear ram, 2 days ago I optimized it and it took a while(normally it doesn't) and then I started using YouTube without giving optimization a thought but yesterday, when i tried to listen to music(Offline internal Samsung music app) there was nothing to be found I freaked out then checked gallery and there was nothing to be found even went to files to look for the same in respective folders but no luck.
It has never ever happened in the last 7 years (as I am a Samsung lover/user and previously owned S8, S6 Active, S5)

** I don't use memory cards**
**Phone is not rooted**

Note: my storage went from 93 Gb used to 73 Gb when i optimized (and i thought to myself whether it may be cache or something)

You check in Samsung music app settings for hidden folders?

Sent from my SM-S918U1 using AC Forums mobile app

I checked there is no hidden folder settings in the app.

** I recently downloaded bank statement for the month of Feb and the Jan one was already in the same folder but it got deleted (what I thought because couldn't see the Jan file so I went again and downloaded the Jan bank statement AGAIN but it turns out android auto renamed it to Jan (1) meaning that the data (file named Jan) is still there but sort of hidden I guess. **

**(I checked the hidden setting and it's already set to display hidden folders.)**
