Music from Google play

I just bought a song on my galaxy s5 phone from google play store and made sure to download to the device. I want to transfer it to the gear but when I go to the gear app under music the song is not listed there. What am I missing? Thanks

The music downloaded from the Google Play Store to your phone downloads to a hidden folder that is not accessible so it does not show up through the watch.

You will have to physically download it to a computer and then connect the phone to the computer and drag and drop it to the phone and then transfer it to the watch.

That is why I use Amazon Music. I use Power Amp on my phone, which can't find my Google music.
The files from Amazon are mine to use, such as on my watch, without jumping through a bunch of hoops. If I wanted hoops I'd have stuck with ios.

Same here. Plus, with Amazon, I can also purchase music from outside the US via a VPN server and second account, so I can get around the darn geo restrictions. I could never do that with Google.
