Music glitching/skipping through bluetooth and headphones

After the latest software update some of the songs on my phone glitch/skip like on an old cd when I try to play them.

When I remove my headphones and put them back in, the song plays but then it happens again with the next one. This happens when playing through bluetooth as well.

I've tried several music apps and it happens on all of them, I've cleared caches and even cleared the partition cache and nothing worked.

Please help

I think that happened to me on a previous Note and I had to delete and re-pair all of the bluetooth speakers/headphones etc.

EDIT: I think you are saying this is happening even when playing through the phone speaker, so I think it's not the same problem (I never do that so don't know if I would have had skipping through the speaker but obviously re-pairing wouldn't solve your issue).

Not happening through the phone speaker, but it is happening through wired headphones

You don't say which firmware is your "latest", but if it's ASI3, I've been running that since yesterday and have not encountered any audio skipping with either wired or BT headphones.

Does it still happen if you boot into safe mode?
