Music interruption using Bluetooth

I know the issue of bluetooth skipping has been addressed here but my issue concerns interrupting music. I use Power Amp and Google play for my music. When I'm in my car (bluetooth) or using bluetooth headsets (LG 900) and an email, text message or a notification happens on my phone the music pauses, I get my notification sounds, then the music continues. Of course it pauses the music when I receive a call then continues after the call completes.
My question is "how do I stop the music being interrupted when I receive a message, email or notification"? I have my phone set to flash LED when one of those actions occur. I am on Verizon with the 5.1.1 update. I had this issue since I've owned the phone do it's not the update. The bluetooth skipping is gone.

Maybe try an app that will turn off notifications when a Bluetooth connection is made?

Yours pauses the music? Mine just lowers the music volume and plays my alert tone, then slowly raises the music volume back to normal.
Stock TMO 5.1.1 using google play music.

Get the free app Don't Pause..I use it and like it a lot

I just had this problem with incessant skipping of my music on my new Samsung 7....turned off location - and it's good now!
