I only started using the music app about a month ago, and had about 10 albums on it. This morning, everything is gone from the music app, even the sample songs from Huawei. Honestly not sure if the music was stored internally or externally, but I checked both in the file manager and there's no music content to be found. Folders yes, files no.

Pictures on my external storage are fine, so I doubt it's the SD card.

I can just reload the music, but if this is going to keep happening, then that's annoying. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

That's really strange I never faced this issue after using for almost a year! You could try using another app like phonograph or Poweramp to identify whether it is the app's fault or the phone's system's.

Thanks, may try that. I remembered later that I had downloaded albums from my Amazon music app. Maybe the Amazon app was still linked to the downloaded files, malfunctioned, and wiped my music? I don't know why that would affect the Huawei sample audio (not that I needed it anyway). I might also transfer some music files over straight from my pc, and if this happens again, we'll see what files (if any) are left.

Not a huge deal for me, but perplexing nonetheless.

This happened to me too. I just reassembled my library, and when it happened a second time, I switched to Spotify. Too much of a hassle.
