Music isn't pausing when unplugging headphones

Hi everyone!

I got a new Galaxy S6 Edge+ last week, had it for a few days now and got to say I love it. I just have one particular problem that I'd like to ask about.

When listening music from Spotify or any other music apps or watching youtube or anything, if I unplug my headphones, or disconnect my Bluetooth headphones, the music automatically doesn't stop, but will instead switch over to phones own speaker. This also happens when I get a phone call, I can hear the music and my ringtone playing at the same time.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it. As I said, I haven't had this phone for many days yet, and so I haven't tried the factory reset yet. That's one thing I'm gonna try though, just thinking if anyone has had this and solved it without doing the reset...

Thanks!

I also am having the same issue. It started happening a couple days ago, and I can replicate the issue with other music apps on the phone, in addition to Spotify. It is weird, because while it happens most of the time, it isn't always happening. For seemengly no reason, sometimes the phone will work and pause the music when I unplug headphones, or leave my car. This is an issue with my bose headphones, aux cord in my car, as well as bluetooth audio.

The hardest part to understand is that I can "close" the spotify app, and it will still play music. This was never an issue before, but it is starting to get me into trouble because I am used to unplugging my headphones in a quiet place such as the library, and it will just keep blaring my music. The most annoying part is how music will continue to play even after I have answered a call.

I have uninstalled the spotify app and reinstalled it, but that did not solve the issue. I just really don't want to go through the trouble of factory resetting the phone if its not going to sovle the issue. :-\

UPDATE: I went ahead and factory reset the phone. No luck :( Same problems as before. Could this be a hardware issue?
