Music Player Problems

I have all of my music stored on my sd card in my GS3.

I am a long distance runner, and I like to use my phone to listen to music and track my distance run (I use mapmyrun). Anyways, since I've gotten the GS3 last December, I've noticed two problems.

1. After about a half hour or so, the volume control seems to react by itself. The volume seems to randomly go all the way down or all the way up. (I use the ibeats headphones).

2. This happened a few times- but my playlists have cleared out all of its songs. The songs are still on my phone, but playlists are empty.

I checked with the Sprint store, and they said they are not aware of issue number 1 but have said the volume rocker is super sensitive. For number 2, one store rep said he had the same issue, and it's because the SD card randomly unmounts- clearing the playlist data. He said there are no fixes for that.

Any ideas of fixes for either of these?

I don't run, so I haven't seen that behavior. If it is the volume control being bumped, a thin TPU style case will probably help.

What kind of SD card do you have. There are claims that the S3 suffers from an incompatibility with older 32GB and larger Sandisk cards. I've got a different brand of card (also 32GB) and haven't noticed my SD card unmounting itself.

Thanks. I do have a 32GB Sandisk...Worked perfectly on my HTC EVO 4G LTE, and, except for this apparently- has worked on the GS3.

I believe I found a workaround- I noticed that my Double Twist playlists haven't been deleted. I updated those manually last night, and I will have to see if using the Double Twist Player rather than the Music Player would be better. I set my DT to save on the SD Card.

I wonder if the volume control issues could be related to my beats headphones rather than the phone....?
