Music Player w/ Album Artwork App For DInc

I posted this in the App section, but its getting very little love. Since this is DInc specific in my case, I'll give it a whirl here.

Initially, I just wanted an album artwork retriever app. But now, I've noticed 'fun' little quirks with the stock music player (deciding not to recognize all songs from an album in the cover art view {yet still assigning a number to each missing song}, deciding not to play a song for no particular reason, the general crappy nature of its UI, etc). So, I'm in the market for a new music player app that can also find my album artwork. Any suggestions or reviews of what you're using would be appreciated!

I like MixZing. Has a nice UI, a widget, retrieves missing album art. I'm using the free version but there is an upgraded version that adds more features like lock screen controls etc.

Thanks. I'll check it out. That is one thing I did like about the stock player, is the lock screen control. Might have to consider the full version...

Still open to other suggestions though. Want to get a list of best-of-breed and go from there.

I've also used DoubleTwist and 3 (cubed). I've done a little research on this topic as well and those seem to be the top 3...

I really like 3 (cube). It works well and has a fun UI.

I have problems with album art still, but it's much better than the stock player.

+1 for 3. I don't have any problems with artwork, it locates and downloads artwork and has several different sized widgets (including a full screen one with artwork). Works great for me.

I forget and have uninstalled 3 (cube) - does it have lock screen controls??

Me too with the stock media player (just picks one album art and shows it for all songs)

MixZing fixes this issue for me

I am still having problems with album cover art. I down loaded mixzing and was waiting for the album artwork to download on some songs and it never did. The funny thing about this is I have the album artwork in itunes but it refuses to transfer on some albums. Do I have to initiate the downloading or does it do it automatically.

check in the settings for MixZing but mine does it automatically.

Cube does not have lock screen controls. That's my biggest complaint about it.

You might want to check again. It most certainly does. And full controls on the free version, unlike MixZing (free trial of the lock screen controls unless you cough up $7) and bTunes (not even free to begin with).

Going to give 3 (Cubed) another try if it updates album art without issues AND has lock screen controls. Thanks
