Anyone tried to load the Honeycomb Music Player that is posted at Android Honeycomb Music Player: Full Guide [Early Leak] | Android Community ? The instructions on that page note that the existing music player should be deleted, giving it a name of "GoogleMusic.apk" (no doubt a reference to the player on 2.1 or 2.2) but the music player that is installed in the version of Honeycomb we have all installed on the NC is named "honeycomb-eng.xav.20110125.162619".
I backed up the "honeycomb-eng..." file with Titanium but when I tried to drag it to the trash, the delete failed with the message that is a system file and cannot be deleted. Using Titanium, I could try to step on the file and delete it but am concerned it has "hooks" elsewhere.
On consideration, it's possible that the "honeycomb-eng" file is one and the same as the Music Player that is referred to on the androidcommunity.com site. Anyone know? All I can say is I don't see any similarities between the two applications when I compare the screen shots posted on andoidcommunity.com and what I see when I tap on the "Music" icon on the "Honeycombed" NC.
