Music starts itself

I'm having various problems with my MotoX -- but the one I can't figure out is that music starts itself when I have it in my pocket.

First it was spotify turning on, then this week it was pandora. I can't figure out a trend to when it's happening (i.e. it's not right after I unplug the headphone). The other day i was just walking down a hallway and heard music playing....and it was coming from my pocket.

If I have the volume turned off, it doesn't happen (yet).

Any guesses?

(other problem: it randomly decides to be on military time, and last week it suddenly said i had no SIM card installed)

Strange. Have you contacted your carrier about this? Or even Motorola?

Downside is Moto is so new to me, I am not sure what to suggest.
Maybe a cache wipe of the music player?

I had a similar problem until I went into Moto Assist, tapped the Driving section and turned off the "Resume music play." After that, no problem.

Yeah, I never set up Moto Assist. I just went into it and the resume music play wasn't checked.

I turned off the "touchless control" within the phone settings, so hopefully that will fix it...I'll keep ya posted.

It may be happening, you just are not hearing it.
