Music stops playing when a text is received

Hi there,

I just made the switch back to android after 9 years. I will not go back...

Questions for you kind smart people:

1. When I am driving and listening to music via bluetooth, a text message comes in and pauses the music. When I am using any navigation app and the voice comes on, the music goes to the lowest volume. Any suggestions on how to prevent these things from happening?

2. While in a text message on the iphone and you are messaging back and forth, a sound would play for incoming and outgoing messages while you are in the chat. Can android 7.0 do that, specifically a Samsung S8 Active?

What phone model do you have? And what Android version?

1. I used to experience problems like these when using a long alert tone. Use a shorter tone.

2. Depends on the SMS app you use if it supports those sounds. Download one that does.
