Must have Apps for the Nexus-S

Just throwing it out there. . .
I emailed the developer of Extended Controls, just liked the way it looked, asking if that app supported the Nexus S 4G and if it had a 4G toggle. . .
Much to my surprise, they emailed me back and said they are working on it.
Hope it comes out soon!

Anyone know if the iOS version of the Pandora app is the ONLY one that can connect to another speaker output on a network?

Google Reader v gReader

i have both of these apps - both have same feeds - somewhat different layouts - gReader looks more robust but i still haven't figured it all out yet! anyone know what the differences are?

Another one of my favorites, Chrome to Phone.

Allows you to "send links, maps, phone numbers, & more from your Chrome browser to your phone!"

Here is the Google Chrome extension. It also works with Firefox using the FoxToPhone add-on.

There's also Phone to Chrome which I use a lot to send the link of a lengthy article to my PC browser to "read it later". It requires a dropbox account but who doesn't have one of those?

Oh yeah, Dropbox is another must have app in my opinion!

The vibrate is kinda weak on the Nexus so I use Smart Vibrator to set my own vibrate sequences. This allows you to set short, long and strong vibrates and makes it so I can feel the vibrate in my pocket.

I didn't like either of those apps. I found D7 Google Reader a couple of days ago and so far it's been treating me well. It loads articles on startup instead of background sync like the others. I kind of prefer it that way but to each his own.

For those of you that have document editing apps on the Nexus - I have DTG - a question regarding an unusual behavior I noticed.

When I open an document the first time the popup window offering which app to use (ThinkOffice or DTG) always appears but should not reappear if you check the default checkbox unless you go to the Applications area on the setting menu and manually clear that choice. However, if you turn off/on the Nexus and try again, the popup window always shows the first time as if the phone had "forgotten" this default setting.

Has anyone else noticed this, not a biggie but certainly annoying.

Wigetoid 2x is a solution for the 4G toggle for now - shortcut widget allows quick access to that menu (the actual 4G widget is disabled at least in the free version).

And I have to give props to someone in the general chat forum who recommended audiogalaxy app to stream music from desktop through the cloud to NS4G since no invite yet to Google Music - works like a charm!!

We should suggest a 4g button in the power control widget. I don't see the news for a on and off switch for sync.

Or take away screen brightness and make it a data only control widget. Though screen brightness seems to be a better choice to keep than sync. Imo

I use appbrain to reload apps from different places (Android Market, Amazon, etc) whenever I wipe.
