Hello, I've been using MX player on my Galaxy Note 3 N9005 to watch mkv files (mainly anime which is 20 minutes per episodes). However, I've noticed that my battery drained from 80% to 71% after watching only one episode which was approximately around 20 minutes and again when the battery was 71% I watched another episodes and the battery was drained to 61%.
My device also heats up when I watch videos on MX Player.

Is it normal that MX Player drains the battery that much and heats the device (not actually over heating)??

OR

Is there a problem with my device itself?

Thank you in advance! :)

Are they stored on the device or streamed? Streaming can eat the battery.

Also, set your display to auto brightness. Full brightness will eat the battery too.
