My 3 month old note 8 has status bar burn in help please

Just happened to mine yesterday. To the genius people asking people take a screen shot of it just think about that question for a little bit. Brightness is just one potential cause but I use adaptive display and auto brightness so I think maybe it's the actual driver for the screen that is causing it to happen so soon. I'm getting a new phone sent so it all got worked out.
It's easy though, most people on the forums have multiple phones and if you hold the settings symbol in the notification bar it enables ui tuner which you can turn everything on and off.

Ez.

Well it looks like I'll be playing the Samsung repair lottery once again too. My N8 slid out my jacket pocket when I was feeding squirrels in the park with my young daughter. Those Squirrels are now on my hitlist.

Anyone have an idea how much Samsung charge for replacement here in the UK? I'm guessing £250-300?

Hope you were able to get repair/replacement for your screen.

Re:

I don't have a note 8. I have a note 5. My wife has a note 5 and she has burn in at the notification bar. I do not lol.

I am so glad I am not the only one - software update last week and now I can see just the red home screen icons on other screens

Phone under warranty and being replaced - my carrier says it could be a software glitch so I am concerned that once i get the replacement phone i will still have these issues
