My AKG USB C connection Earphones don't register on my Samsung Galaxy S20 plus

Hi there guys . I having issues with my AKG USB C earphones at the moment. My phone doesn't seem to be registering the USB C earphones. It states unrecognisable USB connection.

Now where I live, we can't find other USB Connection Earphones anywhere . Is there anything I can do to my phones settings to help it recognise the USB C earphones connection or is there anything else I can do to the earphones to make it work with my S20 plus. Please can somebody help me with this .

Welcome to Android Central! Are you able to test the earphones on another device? If so, do you get the same issue?

Make sure the phone's USB port is clear of any debris, using a can of compressed air to blow it out.
