My Alcatel Idol 3 5.5 has an app on it called just "APP" - Genuine?

My new Alcatel Idol 3 5.5 has an app on it called just "APP" - I'm unclear if it is a genuine Alcatel pre-loaded app or something that has been accidentally installed. It has several buttons which claim to boost performance, clean files, run antivirus etc. Sounds great, but every time I use it, I am hit by several full screen ads tempting me to install more and more apps, which makes me suspicious.

Does anyone know if it is actually genuine? And if so, is it possible to kill the ads!

Welcome to Android Central! Regardless of whether it's genuine or not, an app like that is pretty useless -- the things it does to "boost" performance most likely run counter to how Android is designed to work (e.g., killing apps out of RAM on a regular basis). Uninstall it.
