My Alcatel Onetouch Fierce won’t update, keeps saying “Connection Failed!”

My Alcatel Onetouch Fierce won’t update. It’s been stuck on Android Jellybean (4.2.2), and I cannot update it. It keeps saying “Network connection failed!” even though the Wi-Fi signal is strong. I removed the SIM card and it still keeps saying it, even after 2 resets, 2 cache clears, and clearing the Android Framework data. How do I fix this?

Can you try another wifi or data see if it downloads?

Welcome to Android Central! Chances are that old budget phone never got any official Android version update: https://androidforums.com/threads/no-plans-for-kitkat.856407/. You can get that error message for old devices -- I suspect it's because the server that may have handled it was retired or went offline.
