So, I use a Motorola G7.

And for the past two days, my phone randomly pushes me off my apps when I'm using them.

No, I don't hit the home button.

No, my apps aren't crashing.

No, they don't freeze upon reopening them.

I could be watching YouTube all fine and dandy right? Then all of a sudden it shuts out like I hit the home button WHICH I do not. It getting really annoying and I really want an answer to how I can fix this.

Because I can't stress enough it's my phone, MY PHONE, that does this NOT the app itself. The apps runs the same as it was before being booted. If someone has an answer I would love one.

Welcome to Android Central! @methodman89, I believe the G7 uses dual partitions for seamless updates, so there's no cache partition to clear.:-\

To the OP, do you have any 3rd party "RAM booster" apps installed? Can you try booting into Safe Mode to see if this still happens (but you can only test preinstalled apps like YouTube in Safe Mode)? https://support.motorola.com/us/en/solution/MS135872?linkId=70832214

And back to the OP. Have you already updated to Android 10? Are you using Moto one-button navigation or the old three buttons?

I have not updated to Android ten. I am only on 9.
I am using the old three buttons.

Sorry it took me 12 hours to reply, I didn't know HOW to until I looked up my own question

And as a added note
It's pretty infrequent, and someone I know who also has a Android says it's been happening to her phone as well.
I think this issue is because of a update? I'm not entirely sure but it's REALLY annoying

It's still worth testing the phone in Safe Mode for the better part of a day to see if it happens (but you can only test preinstalled apps).
