Earlier today I was using my phone and I dropped it. When I picked it up my screen turned black, but I can still hear it and responds when I get a phone call or text message. I would like to know is there a way of manually fixing it since there isn't a repair store in my area.

Well, with SAMOLED, there's no backlight, so unless you jarred a cable loose, your screen is probably toast. The Epic 4g is pretty easy to take apart and put back together.

Your only going to have a few cables total in there...

As ratsttam said its a very simple device to take apart... I had mine apart quite a few times except I never got down deep enough into the screen cable portion.

I just took it apart, I haven't came across any loose cables. So would my best choice just to be able to find a replacement screen? If so how much am I expected to pay for one?

I'm not positive brand new but a quick search is bringing up around $120 for a screen/digitizer package.

But you could pick one up cheap off Ebay with a good screen for dirt... Look for one being sold for parts... Just take the screen and salvage anything else like speaker, buttons, etc.. then dump the rest.. FYI, I've seen them go around $20-$30 for spare parts purchase.
