Hey guys. Just wanted to share that since the update, my battery got better. Last time it was plugged in was 17 hours and 40 minutes ago and my battery level just turned yellow. I also don't get the random reboots and Gps locks in quickly like in 5 seconds.

mine is the same way, but I'm usually on wi-fi and in a 3g area. I have not disabled lte, and usually turn the gps off unless needed.

I've been running my phone in exactly the same manner as I did before the update (installed LTEOnOff and locked it into LTE only mode, as I'm in a relatively strong LTE coverage area) and my battery lasts significantly longer than it did before.

I took the phone off the charger yesterday morning at 7:30 am, and it was still between 60 and 70% after 9:30 pm, and I've used it just as much as I did before the update. Pre-update, it would've been dead by 5:00 pm.

I must be one of the few completely satisfied post-update TBolt owners!

No, you are more than likely just one of the majority of owners that don't feel the need to start a thread stating how you have no issues.

I've said this in another thread, but it seems like so many people are having issues because those are the people that are going to speak up and ask for help or suggestions. Most people don't post something unless they have issues or a suggestion to help with an issue.

Now I'm not saying the poster shouldn't have started this thread and I'm not saying that the issues that others are having aren't important issues that need to be investigated and remedied, but I'm guessing most people haven't had any issues and they don't say anything.

I mean I let all of my Facebook friends and 2 of my coworkers know about the update and so far I haven't had anyone contact me and mention that they are having any issues.

Most likely true. Didn't think of it that way, but it makes perfect sense.

Likewise, with the same results.

No Problems Here Either

I was starting to feel the same way. I have had the TBolt from day 1 and have never had a random reboot. I installed the update and still have no reboots and the battery life is definitely improved. Sucks for those having issues. If HTC/Verizon doesn't fix it soon, they should see if Verizon will replace their phone, since as we all can say that there are phones out there working properly.

I haven't had any random reboots, and my battery life is much better on 4G after the OTA as long as I don't run into rogue processes -- I deleted the Weather Channel app/widget yesterday, and have not had a problem since (crossing fingers). I'm not able to get anything like djrakowski's usage (wow!), but made it from 7:30am to 9:30pm, with 7% left, with very light use and one manual reboot to clear out a rogue process.

I also notice that once I am down to about 30%, the battery drains out considerably faster (about 2-3 times as fast).

First, I noticed that widgets that update frequently, like the Weather Channel and social networking (Friend Stream, Twitter and Facebook) drain the battery pretty quickly.

And I'm not a particularly heavy hitter, either. Regardless, the battery in my TBolt lasts nearly as long as the one in the iPhone it replaced.

I just find it extremely odd that people are experiencing such wildly different results with this phone!
