My Bionic

Already tried it. Works great in sunlight. Even with polarized sunglasses you see great in portrait, not great in landscape, but you can still see it.
Thanks for doing this and putting up with all our requests. Have you tried to pair the phone with Bluetooth to your car yet ( assuming your car is Bluetooth accessible) If so, how is the sound quality? Any issues with downloading the contact list? Any hands free issues?
Thanks again!

Not sure if this has been asked or not. If it has, sorry. :)

The headphone jack on the D1 was terrible, if you moved the wire at all you would hear static and also the player would stop playing because of the bad connection. Can you see if the Bionic has this issue? It drove me nuts when I would connect my D1 to my car Aux port and if I hit a bump or anything, a ton of static and also it stop playing happened all the time.

Neither - just a bit disappointing. You hate to see a 5-6 month old phone beat a phone that hasn't been released yet. It just goes to show us all how great the GSII really is I guess. It's faster, just as smooth, with a much better display, and is like 1/3 the heft of the Bionic. I'm sure the GSII's (lower) resolution has something to do with the scores, but still.

Samsung's going to laugh.

Droid Prime here I come...

Bye Bye...the Bionic just isn't for you, I guess...5-6 month old phone? ;)

I hate you bworley..... and thank and respect you for all the info you have given this forum.....
things I want to know.

1. A list of the stupid bloatware.
2. How come it only says 8gigs of internal.... shouldn't it have been 16?
3. (you dont have to do this but to see how the phone will react) Can you install LauncherPro? Instead of the "Blur" UI I am thinking (using on my D1) of installing on the DB. load it up with widgets.... If you dont want to do this I understand....

Thanks.

Part of that has to be reserved for the OS, among other things. You'll never access to the full amount of memory for things like this.

I understand that, but then your saying it takes 8 gigs for the OS. If I were them I wouldn't advertise the 16 if you cannot access at least most of that. it sounds like false advertisement

not really because when you think about it, it is built into the system and being utilized so how is it false advertising when they aren't lying that there is 16gb internally.

thanks again for doing this for us bworley.
Can any of the preinstalled apps be unistalled?

There's the 8 GB of space that is like a built in SD card. The rest is the app storage and what the OS takes up.

It's tough to say without having it in our hand. From what I briefly saw, it seemed like there were a few GBs partitioned specifically for installing apps on as well. That would equal about 8GB.

Wow.. watched a couple vids and stuff. Already knew I'm getting this next week so I didn't need to be sold or anything... still mad props to bworley for going above and beyond with your new toy to please a bunch of nerds :D How many else can honestly say they would have bothered? Lol I would have been playing with it myself all night and not cared about sharing, tbh ;)

Stop trolling. All you've done in this thread is say how much the Bionic sucks and how good the gs2 is. Take it to the gs2 forum.

Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk

I guess you missed my first 2 warnings and infractions. See you in 72 hours.

BTW: that was not a green light nor an endorsement to bash the GSII in this forum. I asked the whole conversation around that to stop and I'm being ignored. So trying this instead.

Thanks for throwing this thread together. I by and large skimmed 30 pages and read all of the OP's posts, and I'm pretty psyched on the Bionic. It really looks like it will be a stand up phone, particularly is a OG-esque community forms around it. I am excited to see what this thing is capable of.

Turn the cell-phone OFF. New Motorola cell phone batteries must be rapid charged (typically to 80%), then trickle charged (slow charged to 100%) for 24 hours, prior to the first use and for the first 2-3 cycles. After you have fully charged the new Motorola cell phone battery for 3 times, just keep your charging time less than 14 hours. All new batteries require a break-in period, so don't be alarmed if your battery doesn't hold a full charge right away. A new battery commonly will show false full charge (voltage), or Not charging as indicated on your cell phone or charger. LEAVE it on the charger for 24 hours!

I am disappointed you would think I would even throw ethics aside and sarcasm this:( have fun with the bionic, and again, I look forward to some real battery results after you break in the device properly~old man.
That is really nothing but superstition at this point.

Thank you for the videos!
I read a rumor a while back saying the Bionic is supposed to feature FM...but I don't see it in your videos. Just to double check by asking, there isn't FM support is there?
Supported. Don't know how to access it.

Yes. Set it up in 10 seconds. works awesome

I haven't had any issues so far.

Haven't tried it yet. Will do so in a few minutes. My D3 did the same thing, so I am not optimistic this will be any better.
