I noticed this problem with my earphones while I was listening to music. After a while, one ear stopped playing sound at all: Music, connection sounds, everything. The day after, the other side stopped working, now it's practically useless. They're the only pair I own. Please help.

Well, there is an excellent chance that the earphones have simply gone bad - it *does* happen.

I would suggest you visit any store of your liking and ask if you can "try out" a Bluetooth headset (or, just borrow from a friend). You'll quickly figure out if the problem is your phone or your Sol Republic headset.
