If it doesn't, are you sure the LAN isn't one you have to go to the login page before you can use it? (Airports and some business - coffee shops, restaurants, etc., use that.) If it does, until you sign in, all you'll get is the landing page.

Welcome to Android Central! When you say "it keeps stopping and going to the home page," do you mean the browser closes and you get dumped back to the phone's homescreen, or do you mean that the browser keeps reloading the website that was set as a homepage?
