One UI Home keeps stopping

Tracking on all your suggestions. Sent feedback a couple times to keep dev updated on what I experienced. Also updated Play Store same day as OS update.

Seems the app was suddenly sending large volume of notifications and data requests, so One UI automatically put it into "Deep Sleep." I went into the app info and had to "Enable" which keeps it out of "Deep Sleep." I also turned off many of the unnecessary notification permissions for the app. It seems to have calmed down (at least so far) and is back to playing nicely.

Almost the same issue developed on the Tab S9+ running most current update and UI 6.1.1. The widget would disappear apparently because of the notification storm and being automatically exiled to "Deep Sleep." Had to do the "Enable" process there, as well as adjust the notification permissions. (Note: no Play Store Update available for Tab S9+ at this time.)

Both platforms seem to be stable for now and widgets are back in place, providing useful info. Continuing to monitor.

Just wanted to confirm, not play store update but Google Play system update which is in settings>about phone>software>scroll to play system update , you can tap to manually update

Yes, that is what I meant to say. Play system update in Software info has been applied immediately following OS update. Sorry for the confusion.

Hello. I have several S21 FE SM-G990U2. They are all rooted and I am attempting to restore them to factory settings. They are from different carriers like VRZ, TMB, XAA, XAU, and a few others. i am also familiar with Odin 3, Frija, samfw.com, stuff like that. This is my day job and it would be great if i could solve this. Any ideas???? Thanks in advance.

Thank you!! I just started here a few weeks ago. Im in Des Moines. Im definitely having the same issue. Odin hasnt been working. ill get a pass, and a successful relaunch. The probelm is home one ui keeps crashing. Other than that....

Hi
Not clear on Odin not working? If it passes and relaunched it's working, did you use home CSC or regular CSC file in Odin?

Hi Mustang- Thank you again for the help. It seems the process a bit convoluted. This particular phone is the Galaxy S21 FE 5G (SM-G9990U2). Aos 14. Verizon- XAA/VZW. FRP off. Whitelisted. My company has a contract with the carriers not Samsung, so they are no help. This is one s21 out of many. I have several versions of Odin. I've read some are fake. so that could be an issue as well. We have a few ATT phones as well. They behave differently. oh- all of these phones are Jailbroken or rooted. I come from the world of apple so this is all new. I've read you can not root an ATT phone. is this true?

to answer your questions, I have tried both CSC files. I start the process with a hard reset and go from there. Odin will recognize the phone, ill load the files, and watch it do its thing. I usually see a NAND flash performed, sometimes i get errors concerning the Pit file. I can extract them, but have had little success.

The issue presents itself by crashing the Home one UI app.

If i could fix these phones I would be a rock star. HELP!!!

Thank in advance???

PS- i am only online here during the hours of 8-5pm (central)

You say these are company phones that are rooted. How did you acquire them? Who had them previously?

Good Question. I work for a company in Des Moines we refurbish all mobile and computer tech. Apple, Samsung, all computer manufacturers and so on. We have everything here. I have been here for two weeks- today. I havent asked yet where the phones come from. I know we have contracts with all phone carriers, so when you go and turn in your phone for the new version and it has issues, it comes here. Ive also heard phone convos about some being bought at Auction. its all on the level otherwise I dont think i would have a job here.

I got the job because I have a degree in CS. I have never used an android device in my life, but what I am doing doesnt require all that. I am successful flashing other samsung models from all carriers. It is just with the SM-G990U2 and sometimes odin will pass the flash, but once i go through all the setup menus and should get to One UI- but One UI crashes. Constantly. I can get individual apps to run through other means but that's no good.

i am legit. Not organized crime. I havent counted, but I think I have about 40 or so of those models all with the same problem.

This sounds outside of the realm of a volunteer forum. I suggest you ask your supervisor for assistance. Thread closed.
