My cellphone Nexus Lg 4's screen went pitch black and now I can't open it. How can I fix this?

I was watching a video on phone until my screen went black. I tried to open but it didn't work so I thought my phone was dead but then I started receiving notification. Like, there's a blue dot flashing, it means that I'm getting a text or something. I'm waiting for my phone to die but I don't what to do else?

The screen might have failed. Try powering the phone off by pressing and holding Power for 15-20 seconds. Then try powering on again. Do you feel it vibrate when it powers on, but there's still nothing on screen? If so, then the screen has failed, and you'll need to bring it to a repair shop.
